President
Steven Bernstein is the founder of Stonewater Financial, a dedicated financial planning and wealth management practice that provides honest advice and places clients’ interests first. In today’s economic environment people are seeking objective advice, while expecting concierge level personal attention. Steven tailors every decision he makes to each individual’s goals and objectives. Nobody can escape life’s transitions, however with a high degree of technical competency and analytical aptitude, Steven is able to help guide his clients towards making the right decisions, ones that seek to produce results, as well as protecting what they already have.
Steven is a Los Angeles native, and his family plays an integral part in his life. Steven is married to Debra and has three beautiful children, Kayla, Hailey and Noah.
Steven is a graduate of New York’s Yeshiva University with a degree in Finance.

Alexis Huliganga
Client Relations Associate
Alexis Huliganga is a Client Relations Associate at Stonewater Financial, where she brings a decade of operations and client-service experience to every relationship she supports. Before joining the firm, Alexis spent over ten years at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP in Los Angeles, most recently as Operations Director, where she managed staffing, budgeting, and performance for the firm’s operations team and helped build a culture of coaching and accountability across the Los Angeles and Pasadena offices. She began her career there as an Executive Assistant, streamlining the firm’s electronic filing system and supporting senior leadership with calendar management, reporting, and cross-team coordination.
Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Los Angeles and is currently pursuing a Project Management Certificate through UCLA Extension. She is also a licensed Notary Public and is based in Los Angeles.
Lior Morgenshtern
Client Relations Associate
Lior Morgenshtern is a Client Relations Associate at Stonewater Financial, where she is dedicated to delivering a highly personalized, responsive, and thoughtful client experience. Drawing on her background in private equity, venture capital, startups, and nonprofit organizations, Lior brings strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping clients process financial decisions with clarity and confidence. Throughout her career, Lior has worked closely with high-net-worth individuals, coordinated strategic initiatives, and supported fundraising efforts across the financial and philanthropic sectors. She has also been actively involved in community leadership and charitable initiatives in the United States and internationally.
Recently married and based in New York City, Lior is also helping establish and grow Stonewater Financial’s East Coast office, expanding the firm’s ability to serve clients and build relationships nationwide. Lior earned a Bachelor of Science in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, with a minor in Finance, from Yeshiva University. She is currently pursuing her Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and additional FINRA licenses.
